This alphabet was chosen as one of the two variants that were presented in the Congress of Manastir in 1908. I will begin this series with the most basic part of the Albanian Language literacy – the alphabet of the Albanian Language. I invite you to comment with questions or discussions surrounding the Albanian Language, even if you write in your own dialect – in fact, being exposed to the written gheg dialect will be useful for those people who want to learn the day-to-day language spoken by Kosovar Albanians.Įvery lesson will be posted in Albanian and English, so that these lessons can serve as reading materials for practising reading abilities and learning new vocabulary.
